REVIEW: Time, Conrad Ashton

Time,’ the latest single by Conrad Ashton, is a passionate folk and pop-influenced rock track. It has a vibrant and relatable feel and is perfect for anyone wanting to hear an enticing fusion of genres.

Lyrically, it’s a poetic and intriguing song which demands more than one listen. Conrad manages to create classic rock energy whilst still fitting in fluidly with the modern music scene. He describes his genre as “beyond basic rock and roll” which perfectly categorises this track.

"Beyond basic rock and roll"

Conrad says his goal for song-writing “is to spread the emphasis and the effect of each song to the listeners’ head, heart and body.” With a strong beat and catchy melodies, this track is definitely worth the listen for that reason. Although there are, of course, currently no gigs, he’d definitely be one to catch live once they are.

Review: PEACH’s Self-Titled Debut Album

PEACH’s self-titled album is remarkably cohesive for a debut, in part because it isn’t really one. The Bristol-based punk foursome each boast years of experience in past projects, and as PEACH they have already begun to make a name for themselves in the local scene.

To put it simply, Pinball: The Man Who Saved The Game, is adorable, our number 1 feel-good film to come out of 2022. A true story, the film follows Roger Sharpe (played by Mike Faist), as he negotiates his love affair with pinball in a city where it's illegal under gambling laws, and how that 35-year ban was overturned.
