Red Hot Chili Peppers Pay Tribute to Taylor Hawkins | Jazz Fest 22
Drummer Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins during the band’s set at New Orleans Jazz Festival, after replacing the Foo Fighters headline slot.
As a taste of things to come, the band have revealed the title track ENGLAND SCREAMS, a ferocious call to arms that blurs the lines between punk, trap and electronica.
Speaking of the new single ENGLAND SCREAMS, frontman Bobby Bentham explains
“It’s like we’re living in a pantomime, everyone is waiting and expecting for something shocking to happen. It’s a reality TV show. England Screams. Society’s paradigm of a typical human being is breaking down, constantly changing, in some amazing ways, in a new world that feels more authoritarian than ever. It’s as if we’re moving forwards and backwards at the same time, an insane contradiction that is fuelled by the hyper-normal behaviour of the press and the state, which are inevitably the same thing.”
Plus the band will be embarking on a co-headline tour with Calva Louise, from 23rd June – 27th June, the perfect first post-lockdown concert. Get ready to welcome back gig going with mosh pits and sweaty crowds, we can’t wait!
