Welcome to the Why Generation Festival Guide 2023, where we give you the Who, What, When, Where and Why of different events taking place this summer, today kicking things off with Download Festival!

WHAT: Download Festival 2023

WHERE: Download Festival takes place at the hallowed grounds of rock, Donington Park, next to East Midlands Airport.

WHEN: Thursday 8th June – Sunday 11th. Campsites and campervan field will open at 12pm on Wednesday 7th June for 5 Day Weekend Camping Ticket holders, and close at 12pm on Monday 12th June. 4 Day Weekend Camping Ticket holders will be able to access the campsites and campervan field from 8 am on Thursday 8th June.

WHO: The 20th anniversary of Download is a 4-day celebration, which means space for more performances! Artists include Metallica, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Snayx, Neck Deep, Cancer Bats, Enola Gay and so many more! Check out the full lineup below.

TICKETS: Download Festival 2023 has officially sold out, but there are still volunteering opportunities and resale tickets flying around for those desperate not to miss out.
