Life feels a bit frozen at the moment, the energy and passion in the live music scene is the perfect form of escapism and fun, and it’s a part of my routine, be it work or social. My whole life revolves around gigs and live music so it’s really strange adjusting to a world without it.

Lockdown has been a strange time for everyone. We are constantly wishing for more time to do as we please, to pursue a creative interest, to focus on something other than work. And now we unexpectedly have all the time in the world, we don’t know what to do with it. So here are three books we recommend when your inspiration is low, you need a boost of creativity or you just want to kickback with a good read for an hour or two.
In July 2019, Matty Healy of The 1975 was met with huge backlash after claiming on Instagram that he didn’t need to credit photographers, as he was doing them a favour by letting them photograph him.
Within a few lines, Matty Healy had managed to completely disregard the amount of hard work that goes into gig photography. RSD may have been postponed but before you know it, it’ll be that time of year again. When music nerds and audiophiles alike flock into the streets of cities and towns, hoping to be the first through their local record store’s doors to grab their favourite rarities off the shelves for Record Store Day.
Why Generation? Issue 3 is still 100% on its way and will be available to buy very, very soon and our blog is still up and running, however, given the current circumstances, we have decided to cancel the launch party.
It’s been a minute since Why Generation? has had any new posts. This is because of two reasons:
1. I moved house, which seemed to take up a lot more time then I was expecting. This plus having no Internet and incredibly bad signal in our new place has made updating the Why Generation? website rather difficult.
