Taking place at Union Chapel, the location was perfect, a beautiful, enchanting church, as an excited sold-out crowd was beginning to fill the seats for night 1 of 3 sold-out shows for Manchester Orchestra, an indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia.
Whilst the main act, Ghostarcadia, had its own uniquely, fire-filled performance, headlining Islington O2 Academy 2, it was Everpale’s support set that left an indelible mark on us at Why Generation,
Loyle Carner, British rapper, singer, and songwriter who has gained recognition for his introspective and personal lyrics, headline Wembley Arena on the final date of his UK ‘Hugo” Tour.
They are a solid unit, professional and skilled, at no point faltering. This gig, filled with new songs and old favourites, hits home the name of the tour. Right now, The 1975 are truly ‘at their very best’.
Reading Festival, August 2017, was the first time I ever encountered The Amazons. Dragged along to a packed-out Festival Republic tent with zero expectations, a young fresh-faced band from Reading walked onto the stage. I had no idea how many times after that I would see them again or how they would go on to influence me artistically.
